About the Workshop
The workshop mixes between the history of VFX ever since George Melies discovered the power behind the cut and ends with today’s advanced motion capture of CGI characters. Moreover, the instructor and the kids will discuss questions such as; What's a green screen? Why is it green?, Practical ways to archive effects vs new CGI & more.
In the second part of the workshop, the kids will experience being in a VFX shot and learn the planing behind the shot and be exposed to the programs used like "after effects" and "Animation Studios"
About Eli Rezik
27 years old, Eli is a Palestinian filmmaker, Script Supervisor & VFX artist from Nazareth. Eli started his VFX career at the age of 16 when he was asked to help with a local Rap Music Video, and following so, at the early age of 17, he worked as an assistant in a production for the first time.
Eli studied Cinema & Television and launched a Youtube channel with the goal of uploading short films and music videos he directed. This included "The Green Revolution" a co-creation with the best local talents, "God Of Revolution" with Tamer Nafar & "Between us Two" an award winning short film.
The exposure of his Youtube channel helped Eli build his career as a director and writer while directing projects for NGOs and Cultural activism. As a VFX Artist, Eli has worked on local features such as Oscar nominated "Omar" by Hani-Abu Assad, "Villa Touma" by Suha Arraf, "The Beautiful Fantastic" by Simon Aboud and others.

يبلغ من العمر 27 عام، سينمائي فلسطيني، مشرف سيناريو وفنان مؤثرات بصيرة من الناصرة. بدأ مشواره كفني مؤثرات بصيرة في عمر 16 عندما عمل على فيديو موسيقي لفرقة راب محلية، في جيل 17 عمل كمساعد في الإنتاج لأول مرة. درس ايلي السينما والتلفاز وأطلق صفحة يوتيوب مع هدف رفع الافلام القصيرة والفيديوهات الموسيقية التي صنعها. ومنها "الثورة الخضراء" وهو انتاج جماعي لافضل المواهب المحلية، و"إله الثورة" مع تامر نفار والفيلم القصير "بيني وبينك" الحائز على جوائز. صفحة اليوتيوب جلبت الشهرة لايلي وكانت بمثابة انطلاقة لبدء مشواره كمخرج وكاتب، حيث أنتج الأفلام لجمعيات ولدعم قضايا مجتمعية. كفنان مؤثرات بصيرة عمل ايلي في انتاجات محلية منها فيلم "عمر" الذي رشح للاوسكار للمخرج هاني ابو اسعد، "فيلا توما" لسهى عراف، و"بيوتيفول فانتاستيك" لسيمون عبود واخرى
